The Maryville University Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee has announced that it is accepting nominations for the next induction class. Nominations are due by Monday, May 1, 2023, at 5 p.m.

Maryville University had seven student-athletes earn 2023 College Sports Communications Academic All-District At-Large team honors. On the women's side, bowler Anna Maxwell, and lacrosse's Reagan Rukstad and Ronnie Skorcz earned the award. For the Maryville men, lacrosse's Clayton Cerett, golfer Max Hsu, lacrosse's Garrett Rivers and wrestler Joey Williams garnered the recognition.

Maryville University tied for the Great Lakes Valley Conference lead as 16 Saints athletic teams earned the 2022-23 Team Academic All-GLVC Award as announced by the league Monday. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year. Maryville tied with Lewis University to pace the league this past academic year.

Maryville University saw 297 student-athletes garner the Academic All-Great Lakes Valley Conference for the 2022-23 academic calendar, as announced by the league Tuesday. The Academic All-GLVC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes who posted at least a cumulative GPA of 3.30 over two semesters of an academic year at the institution.

Maryville University saw 34 student-athletes earn the 2022-23 Great Lakes Valley Conference Brother James Gaffney, FSC Distinguished Scholar Award, as announced Wednesday by the league office. Named after Brother James Gaffney, former President of Lewis University for over 27 years and two-term Chair of the GLVC Council of Presidents, this award is presented annually to student-athletes who achieve a 4.0 grade point average during the course of the academic year.

Maryville University saw 44 seniors earn the Great Lakes Valley Conference Council of Presidents' Award for 2022-23 as announced Thursday. The recipients of the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award exemplify the outstanding student-athletes in the GLVC. Each honoree has exhausted his or her eligibility in the intercollegiate sport in which they participated and maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average throughout their academic career.

The Maryville University community announces the retirement of esteemed athletic director Lonnie Folks. A St. Louis native and Maryville alumnus of the John E. Simon School of Business, Lonnie Folks '82, '98, was named the director of athletics and recreation at Maryville in February 2018.
